Zbigniew Czapski-Kłoda

The ballet director

A graduate of the Warsaw School of Ballet, since 2019 he has been a dancer of the Polish National Ballet in Warsaw. He has graduated from the University of Finance and Management in Warsaw. He was a ballet soloist in Theater und Philharmonie Essen in Germany for 8 years. He has cooperated with the most distinguished dance choreographers of the XX century in Poland and abroad, e.g. Maurice Béjart, Glen Tetley, Hans van Maanen, Rudi van Dantzig, Christi Nielsen, Ohad Naharin, Jiří Kylián, Mats Ek, Krzysztof Pastor and Emil Wesołowski. He is a laureate of the Sergius Diagilew International Choreographic Competition in Łódź. He was an educator in PZLPiT Mazowsze and in Społeczne Ognisko Baletowe in Lublin. He has been a guest choreographer in Warsaw School of Ballet and created stage movement in the Polish Royal Opera in Warsaw to the opera of W.A. Mozart Cosi fan tutte. He has been a co-founder of the foundation The Centre of Modern Dance in Warsaw, with which he has realised numerous choreographic and educational projects and has conducted workshops in classical and modern dance. He has cooperated with numerous cultural institutions in Poland. ?Dance is an interpretation of freedom, power and values. An interpretation of personality and happiness. ?
